Nobody Watches CTV Mid-Scroll

Owner.com had Meta figured out and wanted to bring that performance to the big screen. They knew a re-cut Meta ad wasn't going to do it.

The Approach

Meta and CTV are two different rooms. On Meta, someone is mid-scroll and you're fighting for a thumb-stop. On CTV, they're sitting still with the sound on, and the job changes from grabbing attention to holding it. Taking Meta energy straight to TV means you're yelling at someone from the TV.

So we did the homework first. The brand, the customer, the competitive field. Then we came out with three concepts that were actually different from each other instead of one safe one: tech-forward and fast, an emotional exhausted-owner story, and a tongue-in-cheek rivalry between two restaurants. Three real reasons to exist, so the test tells Owner something instead of nothing.

All three shot in one restaurant in one day.

We picked the restaurant type that matched Owner's most common customers, then built its brand and website inside Owner's own product. So the interface on screen isn't a mockup, it's the real thing, worked into the scene instead of a cut away demo.

What works on Meta earns you the invitation. What you do with it on CTV is a different conversation.

The Result

Owner didn't get one ad, they got a test: three contrasting concepts, cutdowns for each, and alt cuts for regional markets, all built to run side by side. Instead of guessing which lane works on CTV, they can watch it play out.
